Terahertz propagation properties of composite materials and application in nondestructive inspection

摘要This paper introduces terahertz time domain spectroscopy and imaging as tools to measure the propagation properties of composite materials and carry out the nondestructive inspection of their inner defects. The glass fiber composite PPS-GF30 is taken as an example to demonstrate the usefulness and practicality of the new NDT method, showing reliable data of complex dielectric constant and clear images of hidden defects buried inside the composite. © OSA 2016.
