Rapid Fabrication of CuInSbxTe2-x (0 <= x <= 0.10) Compounds and Their Thermoelectric Performance

摘要In this study, we report the rapid fabrication of CuInSbxTe2-x compounds (x = 0, 0.02, 0.04, 0.08, 0.10) via a home-made induction melting assembled into the glove box together with high energy ball miller. By employing this integrated synthesis system, comparing with the tradition solid state method, the processing time of CuInSbxTe2-x compounds is reduced to less than 3 hours. Furthermore, Sb doping dramatically reduces the thermal conductivity. The enhanced thermoelectric performance along with the largely reduced processing time will be of considerable significance to the commercial-scale production of CuInTe2-based thermoelectric materials with diamond-like structure.
